My daughter Heather, made this wreath for her front door. She told me she would make me one if I wanted!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME ??
OF COURSE I WANT ONE! lol
She invited me and hubby to go to her home for Thanksgiving and while there she let me pick out the flowers and she made mine!
I LOVE IT !!
Similar but different than her's! Thank you Heather! My door will wear it proudly!!

OLD CHRISTMAS CARDS TO THIS !~
After learning to make the paper ornaments, I decided to make one out of old Christmas cards!
I went through my cards and found these, Since I always do cards with our picture on it, I never use these any more so they were the perfect choice!!
TA DA!~! I like them! There was a cute little squirrel on the back of each card so I made the topper with him!
You can't tell this was a Santa but I liked the shiny paper and the gloss it gave to the ornament.
Pretty cool I think!
Now, I need to hold my ornament exchange party and give them away! LOL

This week in Young Women's the Laurel's are having a Christmas Kickoff for their class activity!
I have asked all the girls to bring something fun from home that they don't want anymore! (a white elephant basically) I told them to wrap it up in the most appealing way they can and we are going to play an "exchange game" .............. I'm thinking it will be fun (but I've been wrong before!!)
I am also going to be teaching the Laurels how to make a paper Christmas ornament!
I tried several and have come to the conclusion that this one is the easiest and the BEST!! In my humble opinion!
The instructions I found online said to cut 6 strips of paper. I didn't like them. They are shown below ........... I added more strips and also cut a cute topper! I love these two!!
These (below) are the final Test Projects ....... I made the brown one and the light blue one 1st with the 6 strips!
SEE WHAT I MEAN! Not my favorite! Then I made 2 more with 10 strips and they are pretty good ....... BUT then I made the top left and put a topper on it and I love it!!
I cut out the poinsettia from an old Christmas card and mounted it on cardstock for some durability and to cover up the top of all the strips.
Really like this one so this is how the Laurels will be doing theirs.
This one with 10 strips isn't bad but a bout 3 more strips would have made it perfect! For it's topper I cut out 2 circle punches and glued them together and covered the top of the strips of paper! You can see the one in front doesn't have a topper and it doesn't look as finished!
The one below was made with circles from two different sizes of circle punches. I used green cardstock as a base and the colored pieces are from an old Christmas card.
I attached the two Christmas lights (which are cut with a punch) and it's OK but not my favorite either. I think the girls will enjoy making the round ornament the best.
LETS HOPE! lol

NEWEST ADDITION TO MY CRAFT ROOM!
I cleaned out the garage and found a nice stash of curling ribbon. Of course I knew it was there. I got it out everytime I had a project to do ....
However, now that my craft room is done , I thought to myself ...."It sure would be nice if this was mounted somehow so it would be easier to use .....
Well, all I have to do is ask and my dear husband is on it!! He was off today for Veterans Day so he put his mad skills to work and made me ribbon dispensers!!
I found 6 more spools so he said he could put up more rods!
What a man! I love this~! It will be so easy to use now and I can see what I've got without opening 6 different boxes!!
I'm so spoiled!
